I'm listening to: Current mood: Important Dates:
Hi. It is the first day of school for this week, because of the snowdays. I was right-my chorale teacher is a little psycho, and rightly so, because half the people in the class have no idea what they're doing. This is because they TALK ALL THE TIME, instead of paying attention. It's quite annoying. Anyhow, I'm trying to think of something of vital importance that happened today, but I'm not having much luck. I thought I lost my flute, but that turned out to be a false alarm as it was at home the whole time. I actually handed in a great majority of my homework on time (for once in my aca dec career). I have a headache, and mmore aca dec homework to do as soon as I get motivated. A few weeks ago, I went to a recording studio to make two CD's (one was with the Celtic band I'm in with three of my friends, the other with just me). I got back thre of the songs from my solo CD today, because I needed audition material to send in for a scholarship. They aren't as good as I thought they would be. One of the problems is that I didn't practice enough. They're with piano and vocals, and I recorded the tracks separately. Sometimes I had trouble accompanying myself. That is one disadvantage of arranging your own accompaniments without music; you, or, at least, I, play it differently every time. Hey! Another important thing: I have found out that the disease causing my blindness, Leber's Optic Neuropathy, is very rare, and can possibly be fixed with surgery! (Isn't it sad that after 17 years, I finally get motivated to look this stuff up?) Anyway, I'm really skeptical about surgery. What if it damages my brain or something? I mean, think about it. There's nothing wrong with my eyes, it's the optic nerve behind them, which is connected wrongly to the brain. So what if something goes awry at a crucial moment? What if they make a wrong cut somewhere? What if it starts raining big purple marshmallows? What if my dog sprouted wings and developed a wasplike sting? OK, I'm done, ha ha. One last thing before I sign off. I was inspired to add a little Harry Potterness to this entry by what G did in her blog. So, if you're an HP fan, and have not yet experienced Potter Puppet Pals, go here and join in the madness. And if you liked that, check out the sequel. I will leave you with this: I LOOOOVE CHRISTMAS CANDY!!!! KD Wanna comment on this entry? 0 comments so far.
